Phoenix Children's Child Maltreatment Symposium April 17th

Phoenix Children’s Trauma Program and Child Protection Team are sponsoring our annual Child Maltreatment Symposium on April 17, 2025, at Creighton University 3100 N. Central Ave, Phoenix, 85012. This is a hybrid event offering 7.8 CE credits for RNs, EMS, and Social Workers. This annual symposium is designed to help community and medical professionals expand their knowledge of child maltreatment, abuse, and neglect-with a focus on recognition and appropriate management. This is a reminder to register for the 16th Annual NAEMS Pediatric Symposium. Please share this flyer and email widely, so we can increase our attendance this year. There are 3 weeks left to register before the rates increase!

A few reminders:

  • Registration rates increase after February 11th and shirts cannot be guaranteed after that point
  • Registration closes February 25th at 5pm.

Phoenix Children’s Simbulance program was created to help educate, improve patient outcomes, and raise the standard of care, benefiting all neonates, infants, and children facing emergency situations. The Program will provide training to first responders, firefighters, and EMTs responsible for medical oversight, stabilization and prehospital patient care to neonates, infants, and children.

Crash Responder Safety Week 2023

From the State

November 13-17 is Crash Responder Safety Week. This year’s theme is “Protect Those who Protect You!” Every minute of every day, law enforcement, fire and rescue, emergency medical services, public works, transportation, towing, and other responders work to make roadways safe for all road users. These traffic incident responders put their lives at risk when clearing each of the nearly 7 million motor vehicle crashes that occur in the U.S. each year.

March 4 & 5, 2024
Flagstaff, Arizona

Join healthcare colleagues in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona for a conference focusing on emergency care for pediatrics in both the pre-hospital and hospital setting. Among those presenting are nationally recognized physicians, emergency nurses and first responders. Day 1 is a series of hands-on simulation labs. Day 2 will be a full day of educational lectures.

CEs available. Scholarships available. Registration prices increase after February 12, and closes February 25.
