As a non-profit organization, AEMS is managed by an elected and volunteer Board of Governors and Executive Committee. The AEMS Board is unique because it is composed of representatives from all levels of EMS and pre-hospital. Additionally, individuals who serve on the Board represent a constituency are professionally impacted by AEMS’ mission.
The Executive Committee is a standing committee of the Board of Governors and includes: the Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Chair of the Planning and Outreach Functional Group, and Chair of the Patient Management Functional Group. The actions and decisons of the Executive Committee and Board of Governors’ are guided by the organization’s Bylaws.

Trauma Center refers to State of Arizona Designated Level 1 or Level 2 facility providing enhanced trauma care, and categorized as such.
Non-Trauma Center refers to a facility that is not a State of Arizona Designated Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center.
Administration means an individual that has programmatic responsibilities and budgetary authority.
If a position involves a recommendation by a professional association, we do require a letter from the association acknowledging your nomination.
