The Active Shooter Awareness Virtual Roundtable Active shooters engage in killing or attempting to kill innocent and unsuspecting people in both private and public areas. In many cases, there is no pattern or method to the selection of victims by an active shooter, and these situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. To help you prepare for the possibility of an active shooter incident, the Active Shooter Awareness Virtual Roundtable will raise awareness of common triggers and characteristics of active shooters and help you understand how to prepare for potential incidents. This free, online interactive roundtable will include video, commentary by behavioral and security experts, and aquestion-and-answer session. This roundtable will better prepare you to deal with an active shooter situation and to recognize dangerous behavior before it turns deadly. Date: Registration closes September 23, 2011.
